Nationwide is stopping Free 0800 Phone numbers in 60days

Important changes to our telephone numbers – here’s what you need to know.

As a building society, we need to remain cost effective. One of the ways we’re doing this is by changing some of our 0800 numbers and combining them into one 0345 number. Calls to 0345 numbers are charged at a local rate, but if you’re using your mobile phone’s inclusive minutes, then it will be free of charge.

This change means the numbers you use for Telephone Banking will be changing, along with the number you need to call if you think your Telephone Banking passnumber has been compromised.

We’ve included the numbers you need to call for our different services below.
How to get hold of us
Tick For Telephone Banking and general enquiries, call 03457 30 20 11 (the old 0800 number will still work for at least 60 days after the date you receive this email, but after that time, you will have to use this 0345 number). For general enquiries, you can call our 0345 number Monday to Saturday, between 8am and 6pm. For Telephone Banking, it’s available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Tick For security issues, the number has changed to 08000 55 66 22, which is a freephone number.

You’ll need to call this if:
• You think someone has got hold of your Telephone Banking passnumber.
• You don’t recognise a payment that’s been made from your account.
• Your card or chequebook is lost or stolen.
• You believe your security details, such as your internet banking details or card PIN, are at risk.

You can use this number 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We’ve also made it easier for you to re-set your Telephone Banking passnumber (for example, if you lose or forget it). You can do this by calling 03457 30 20 11. You can receive a one-time code by text, which will allow you to re-set your passnumber immediately, without having to wait for it to be sent by post. Alternatively you can choose to receive your passnumber via the post which will take 3-5 working days.
