Debenhams has opened its 'concept store' in Watford with "digital integration" and in-store experiences to lure shoppers back to the high street.
The Celebrity fashion designer Julien MacDonald and Megan Bowyer who works for Watford Workshop cut the ribbon to the 86,000 square foot three-storey store - which Watford's Mayor Peter Taylor thinks was a great idea.
But it seems thousands of customers and residents from Watford did not receive the leaflet before the launch. Some have still not got theirs.
It was great to be at the opening day of Debenhams, the first store to move into the fantastic new Intu Extension. I hope you get the chance to come and visit. I'm proud that we have taken the tough decisions to make this happen. Though a £2million improvement program.
