Award-winning Borehamwood development reaches final stages of construction

A landmark new homes development in Borehamwood is nearing completion, with all-but one of the homes now sold.

Bellway has delivered 306 homes at Hertsmere Mews, off Shenley Road, with building work on the former school site expected to be completed in spring 2021.

The award-winning development has provided a range of one and two-bedroom apartments and three and four-bedroom houses alongside a green open space for all residents to use.

The purchase of the land for new homes also helped to fund the construction of a new state-of-the-art building for Hertswood Academy on its Cowley Hill site.

There’s now just one home remaining for sale at Hertsmere Mews, a four-bedroom Hamill house type, priced from £625,000.

Greg Allsop, Sales and Marketing Director for Bellway North London, said: “From start to finish, our team have done a fantastic job at Hertsmere Mews throughout the duration of this project.

“As a result, Hertsmere Mews is an award-winning Bellway development, with Project Manager Steve Cutting and his team having gained multiple awards from the National House Building Council (NHBC) and two Considerate Constructors Awards in recognition of the entire site team and their efforts in Borehamwood.

“So it’s no surprise that almost all of the homes at the development have already sold and there is just one remaining for sale as building work nears completion.”

The Hertsmere Mews team has won the NHBC’s Pride in the Job Quality Award, Seal of Excellence and the National Health and Safety Award.

Greg said: “We are incredibly proud of Hertsmere Mews and its success is down to the hard work of all involved, who have delivered exceptional new homes in an area with a huge demand for new housing.

“And due to the continued high levels of interest in the development, we’re expecting the final home to be sold quickly.”
