Emergency services were called to the Co-op in New Road, in Croxley Green, at 5.06am.
There was a small fire at the rear of the vehicle, which was extinguished by the fire service.
No-one was injured during the incident.

A 34 year old man, of no fixed address, was arrested by officers shortly afterwards on suspicion of arson.
He remains in police custody at this time.
At around 2.30am on Friday, December 8 , an accelerant was used to set the shop front alight.
The shop sustained damage to the doors, windows and the flooring inside.
Detective Constable Steve Mason said: “This was an extremely dangerous act which could have caused serious injury. I am appealing for anyone who saw what happened, or who thinks they may know the identities of those responsible, to please get in touch.”
